Who am I? by Mihail Musat – Book launch
Mihail is launching his first book soon and asked me to answer three questions as a way of participating into this event. The questions are unexpected and i think so will my answers, but let’s give it a try:
If you would build a museum of your own social accessories, what would you have on your shelves?
(He defines social accessories as: things, objects, attitudes that do not define me, but i have them because they are a must.)
At first glance i wanted to say it would be quite an empty museum, because looking for the things i own or have collected through-out the years i realise i have very little. I throw away things yearly or give them as presents. Some gifts that i cherished and took with me wherever i went got lost along the way. Attitudes though, are there with everyone. Knowing what those are, realising that you have them is quite different. Making money is something that does not define me and would be on that shelf because of desperate cries from society. Respecting rules and trying to please people.
Why do you still have them in your life?
Getting rid of them isn’t easy. Plus, i think there are things to learn along the way living with them that are worth the while.
What experiences, relationships, people, objects i would bring into a book about me?
I try doing all that i want to do, every day so i believe all the things i’ve experienced and all the people i met mean something important to me. All the women i loved, my teachers and friends, the beautiful Sri Lankan beaches, full moons, a bicycle, other books, awesome food and all the bottles of wine that i want.
Mihail and his book will be at the Bookfest in Bucharest on 20 June 2009 and after that the book will appear in libraries.
Good luck to you, Mihail! Book blog here.

Reading the lines of this post, I felt peace. This tells me that you are quite at peace with the life you live…besides the challenges that will always be there…no matter how far we have evolved…especially spiritually.
Thanks a lot for being next to me…even if there are some KMs in-between us!
All the very best dear friend! >:D<
:)
The first one to say that in quite some time. Don’t get me wrong, i am not at peace, but i have a lot of patience. :)
Calming the demons inside is tough, but i do my best. See you beginning July, when i’ll be in Bucharest. 9-14 July.
Cool :) Cannot wait to have a nice chat :)
Thanks Cezar. You are the most constant “item” in the last 11 years in my life. Even half of this time you were physically away. :)
Mihail – good luck with the book – I am sorry I cannot attend its launch event at Bookfest but I will find it in libraries.
No worries :)
After you’ll “meet” the book, if you feel like it, on http://www.eucinesunt.ro I will launch a section for impressions :)
